Parscelona's
first game of the new year looked to be on course with another "goalfest"
akin to the previous encounter with PSJ (which resulted in a historic 0-0 draw!).
In the first half, Parscelona's best chance fell to Alan Maxwell when he squeezed through the defence but hit his shot wide when through on goal. At the other end, Keith Mackie produced a superb save and Dunfermline were lucky when Davie Sanders also produced a good save, which thankfully went unnoticed by the referee.
A goalless draw was not on the cards however, and shortly into the second half a corner to the back post saw PSJ take the lead.
Amid offside claims from the Pars, PSJ grabbed a second and with the visitors finally having lost the plot and claiming offside for everything, PSJ were free to waltz through and score a third, with Keith Mackie agonisingly getting a touch on it before it passed him.
There was almost a consolation for the Pars when a good effort from Alan Maxwell was blocked and brave goalkeeping from PSJ's number one prevented temporary attacker Fraser Clark capitalising on the rebound.
Pars squad: K. Mackie, F. Clark, J. Wilson, D. Sanders, J. MacDougall, M. Falconer, C. Norris, A. Mercer, L. Souter, A. Maxwell, G. Davidson, G. Macleod
